The world of combat sports suffers the loss of a great protagonist.
The champion Christian Daghio (49 y.o.) passed away in the morning of today following the injuries suffered last week during the match valid for the WBC Asia Championship belt in Bangkok (Rangsit).
Pioneer of Italian Muay Thai, and seen by many as a rolemodel during his extensive career, Christian was a well-rounded fighter who had ventured to the highest levels in Muay Thai (we remember his clash against Somrak Khamsing), in the MMA and in recent years in western boxing.
The funeral will take place next monday at 3 pm at St Nikolas church in Pattaya.
The editorial staff of MF expresses the deepest condolences to the family.
In this photo Christian Daghio was preparing Gian Carlo Corba (muayfarang.com website first creator) and on the background Muay Thai champion Mathias Gallo Cassarino, who was his student for many years.
