Following numerous rumors about the GLORY situation, its founder, Pierre Andurand, published a letter addressed to the athletes of the circuit in wichdeclares that the situation that followed at Covid-19 has undoubtedly put the whole combat sports sector in crisis.
However, Mr Andurand makes it clear that this period has been used by the organization to improve and, after making some changes, GLORY will be ready to start stronger than ever, obviously only when it will be allowed to organize risk-free events for athletes, staff and the public.
Who is Pierre Andurand?
Pierre Andurand is a famous French entrepreneur, hedge fund manager specializing in the oil market, and the largest shareholder of GLORY.
In 2008, Forbes magazine put him on the list of the top 20 most profitable hedge fund managers. In the past few years, Mr. Andurand has been losing confidence but, recently, a successful bet on an oil shock has brought him back to success.
Now, suppose that if Mr. Andurand were to make a capital injection, the company would be back in surplus and maybe even stronger than before, but we will only be able to find out during next year!
However, we want to leave readers a few questions to pay attention to and think on:
- Will the struggle between the major combat sports promotions be played with fresh capital injections?
- How many years will pass before Kick Boxing will bring the expected economic return to investors?
